On May 10, 2022 at 1:30 PM EST, you are invited to join Heather Schwartz Sanderson, Esq. and special guest speaker, Stacy Piazza, CMSP, Sanderson Firm's Section 111 Expert, to learn about Medicare Section 111 Mandatory Insurer Reporting. We recently learned that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has sent the text of the Final Rule to the White House OIRA for publishing which would penalize noncompliant workers' compensation, general liability, and no-fault self-insured entities and insurers with Civil Monetary Penalties (CMPs) of up to $1000 per day/per claim. Now is the time to ensure your Section 111 reporting practices are up to speed before CMS begins issuing CMPs.

Webinar attendees will benefit from:

1) Learning the purpose behind Medicare Section 111 reporting and why the requirement was enacted;

2) Understanding the fundamentals of how/when to query Medicare status on injured individuals;

3) For those claims and settlements with Medicare eligible individuals, learn how and when to report claims and settlements with Medicare beneficiaries;

4) Learn about the Provide Accurate Information Directly Act (PAID) Act which now discloses Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare Prescription Drug (Part D) enrollment information in the query response file and what you should do with said information;

5) Learn about the most common Section 111 errors that Sanderson Firm sees (i.e., failure to terminate Ongoing Responsibility for Medical, etc.);

6) Become prepared for the enactment of the Civil Monetary Penalty Final Rule which is imminent in weeks or months from the date of this webinar.
